Do I need to be a registered provider?

Yes, to join Out of School Care you do need to have at least a satisfactory OFSTED status or be registered with BAHA.



What are the benefits to me?

Out of School Care is a simple way to increase your revenue by occupying otherwise vacant places. You remain in control of the prices and spaces at all times, so you have the freedom to use the system as much or as little as you like. It's a good way to introduce local parents to you.



How does it work?

There are a few simple steps:

  • You can register for free online, by clicking on 'Out of School Providers' from the top navigation bar

  • Fill in your details taking extra care to ensure they are accurate

  • Once your status has been verified you will receive a confirmation email

  • Your page(s) are taken live and you're ready to take bookings


What happens if we receive a booking and we're full?

We strongly advise that you update spaces as soon as your availability changes, as all bookings must be honoured. It is not possible to decline bookings, as this means that the service wouldn't run smoothly. You can choose to show a telephone icon on the site for bookings booked with 2 weeks notice. One of the team will call you if a parent wants to book.


How will I know when I receive a booking?

You will be alerted to a booking via an email. The email will contain full details about the child(ren). On your first booking we will call you to talk you through the process and answer any questions that you may have. We also advise that you include your mobile number on your registration form so that you can be alerted to bookings via a text message.



How can I login to my profile?

Once you have registered you are able to log back into your profile to make amendments. To do this you will need to go to www.outofschoolcare.co.uk/providers, (only after a member of the team has been in contact) and login with your email address and password. Please be aware that you will not be able to log on to your profile by going via the main web site.

 


How do I get paid?

On the first of each month we will send you a cheque for your hours, minus the 10% commission that we take on each booking. You can also choose to be paid by BACS. You are in control of your prices and can factor in our commission when setting prices.



How do I update my spaces?

There are 2 options. Firstly as soon as you are aware of a change in availability, you can log back into your profile and click on 'spaces', to update your vacancies. Alternatively contact the team here and we will amend your spaces.

 


How much notice will I get?

Parents can book for the same day, or up to 3 months in advance. If it's a same day booking parents will not be able to book until we have spoken to you. You can also choose to show a telephone icon on your site's profile if anyone tries to book with less than 2 weeks notice.
